Miracle

Miracle has been in a cage for over two years! She has been waiting patiently for that certain someone to notice how special she is. Miracle is a 5 year old Lab / Pit mix who was tied to the fence and abandoned at the Humane Society in October 2005. It was obvious from her splayed feet that she had lived her life in a small cage and was bred repeatedly.

Although the Humane Society took her in, she has had to continue living in a cage in a kennel environment for more than 2 years. The sad thing is that Miracle doesn't even seem upset about being stuck in a cage for 2 years - this might be the best life she has ever known. All of the volunteer dog walkers love Miracle and she is a favorite with the staff as well. Nobody understands why she hasn't been adopted all this time. Meanwhile, she is still waiting for that kind-hearted person who can see what a good companion she would be.

Miracle is sweet and affectionate. She walks nicely on a leash and she knows "sit" and "stay". She will do just about anything you want if you're holding a treat. Even though she lives in a cage, she tries very hard to be housebroken. A nice 8 year old boy came to help take pictures of Miracle and she loved him and kissed him when he hugged her - so she would be a great addition to a family.
