Lost & Found
Lost a pet? Found a pet? In the past year, a great new resource has emerged to help reconnect lost pets with their families, so in an effort to streamline this process for people who lose and find pets, we have removed our Lost/Found database in favor of directing you to this new resource, the Lost & Found Pets of the Mid-South Facebook page.
One of the first things you should do when you find or lose a pet is check the Lost & Found Pets of the Mid-South Facebook page, and post there to report the lost or found animal. If you don't have a Facebook account, you will not be able to post on the page (but you can still check it and see the posts), but you may email the page operator and she will post for you. Her email address is available on Lost & Found Pets of the Mid-South's About page.
Lost & Found Pets of the Mid-South, which is 100% volunteer-run, has created a central location for lost/found pets and reconnected hundreds of pets with their families since it started a year ago. It is an excellent resource, and in fact, the founder has provided some information about the very important steps you should take when you find or lose a pet. Please read the following article(s) carefully.
